Full Elizabeth Line Opening from Nov 6th 26 October 2022

From Sunday November 6th, the Elizabeth Line will fully open the branch between Abbey Wood, Woolwich and Heathrow Airport/Reading with no need to change at Paddington.

The full route will be Abbey Wood-Woolwich-Custom House-Canary Wharf-Whitechapel-Liverpool Street-Farringdon-Tottenham Court Road-Bond Street-Paddington-Action Main Line-Ealing Broadway-West Ealing-Hanwell-Southall and Hayes and Harlington for trains going to Heathrow Airport.... Read More

Elizabeth Line to Open on 24th May 04 May 2022

It has been announced that the Elizabeth Line will finally open on May 24th - starting with the section running between Abbey Wood and Paddington. This is great news for Woolwich and will see much reduced travel times into London. Travel to Canary Wharf will take 7 minutes, to Liverpool Street it will be 14 minutes and Bond Street 21 minutes. Street Food operator "Street Feast" has opened under the name "Public" in the currently disused covered Woolwich market, making use of the building until it is regenerated in a couple of years time.
